    Hi everyone,

Panda Active-Scan found the following on my system...

    Potentially unwanted tool:Application/KillApp.B
    C:\hp\bin\KillIt.exe

Searching on the net, I found that this program is put on new HP computers by HP. I read online that HP told one person to scan for spyware & that HP told another person that removing this program could cause system instability.

Should I remove it or keep it ?

    Thanks
    John

Wasn't there an app by that name that folks used to remove protected files? It would remove the file early in the next boot process, before protections were in effect.

A-squared finds killwind.exe on my HP. I'm not sure if it similar to Application/KillApp.B C:\hp\bin\KillIt.exe, but it may be a part of sysinternals Pskill program. I don't know why HP includes this on their computers but some scanners flag it as riskware.

Included because they could be a potentially unwanted tool - legit for \hp.
