Hello! I just wondering how good are those BlitzenZeus Kerio 2x Default Replacement Update rules nowadays? Do I need add/remove something with my Windows XP laptop + Broadband DSL connection? -MikeNAS
I am also curious to know how those rules still work lately. It is my understanding that Kerio 2.1.5 will not work on Vista and does not have support for IPv6. Too bad they couldn't release the source code at this point in time.
They work fine. It is TCP/IP network protection system rules, made and updated to XP time. Nothing is changed in a few years. Many security software, especially older ones, will not work with Vista. Actually Vista has not so much security software, cause kernel is not available openly. Sad thing, but a few of us are not in the near future going to move to a new operating system. I would give a few years at least or skip Vista and wait for the next one, if the current suffices my needs. Jarmo
You're right. Kerio 2.1.5 won't work with IPv6. As for using it with XP, it works quite well. The BlitzenZeus ruleset is good starting point, although it should still be edited to match your internet service/setup. You'll also need to add rules for the specific applications you use. Rick
