    OK chaos16,

Norman AntiVirus is in no way better than KAV except for heuristics engine, which is rivalled only by NOD32.

KAV has a far better detection rate than Norman.

KAV has that stupid iStreams thingy which might leave leftovers so u have to use tools to get rid of the ADS tags...I'll let the KAV users give you more info on this.

    Regards,
    Firecat

    See this link:

    http://www.kaspersky.com/faq?qid=156636746

The difference between iChecker and iStreams is that iChecker will use a central database to maintain which files have been left intact, which have changed etc.

However, iStreams will keep modifying this information for every file separately, which will result in problems while using System Restore and other backup applications.

    Firecat

I think what Firecat means is that it may for some result in problems while using System Restore and other backup applications. :)

Nothing too wrong in uninstalling KAV 5 Personal ;)

There are also specific Registry Cleaners for both KAV 4.5 & 5; http://www.ice-kav.com/tools.php. These remove any entries left after a normal uninstall via Add/Remove.

    i already have KAV purchased.

    1 question just wondering

were do KAV sell there productso_O

    in america and russiao_O?

    anywere elseo_O?

i got it from the internet

The reason is as i got KAspersky antivirus i want it to be the best in every way :D

So the more that buy it the more ppl report bugs errors and viruses, trojans, worms ideas etc....

and that means a better producto_O?

    don't u think??

i always send a virus or trojan watever i have that KAV can delete

KAV also sells in Europe (http://www.kaspersky.co.uk)

Yes your right, more buyers = more bug reports, more virus submissions, more awareness of PC security....

They have one reseller in states as well i guess ice systems or ice kav it is. Well chaos if u already purchased it...precisely the pro version then go on with that. Get a decent firewall & perhaps MS Antispyware/Spysweeper/Javacool proggies would give u a good defense. I dont have much knowledge abt Process guard ...perhaps any respected members would give u better idea on that & yes lately read lots of reveiws on Pc Internet Patrol....u can check that out as well.

    Cheers

You can Kaspersky from all over the world, from the Kaspersky.com frontpage follow the link:

Buy in your country, but if you ask me, then i would say it's easier to buy from the internet. :)
