K9 web protection.

Is anybody using this and having any problems.Im looking for a half decent url filter and this one seems promising although the reviews are rather mixed and over at download.com it gets smashed to bits.Or is there any other strong alternatives.?

Yes, I'm using it. I like it over Win 8 family safety because it gives me more features to work with. It has improved over the years and that's why I began using it again.

You can even use it in the administration account for self protection if one chooses.

 

Its pretty good... I have it configured to block spyware/malware websites. It can also prevent kids from reaching adult, illegal or suspicious websites. You configure K9's settings via its administrator control panel. THe best part of it is the price is free.
