A fun browser to have on hand. Customizable toolbars, plenty of privacy features, etc. And fun!

K-Meleon is a lite Web browser based on gecko (the mozilla rendering engine). It's fast, has a minimal interface, and it is fully standards-compliant. To make it simple, K-Meleon may be considered the unbloated Mozilla for Windows.

K-Meleon is built on a powerful plugin architecture, which gives developers the ability to add new features.

    Features:
    # Simple, efficient, fast browser.
    # Uses your existing IE Favorites
    # Uses your existing NS Bookmarks
    # Complete control of the menus and hotkeys
    # Privacy features
    # Fast loading time
    # Even faster loading time with (optional) symbiotic loader.

It's still a beta but it holds promise. Very fast.

Not as user friendly on options. Some may like editing the config files.

The skins don't render as well as Firefox on my XP Classic desktop.

I hate to say this. But it might actually be better than firefox at (least for windows people) in time.

It's faster to loadup, has more features including mouse gestures, better tab groups customisation, more options ,excellent privacy functions including the ability to autodelete cache, cookies and history on close of browser -something that is not possible with firefox even via extensions.

Highly recommended for people who dont use firefox because it's too slow or resource hungry on their computer

i prefer FF. k-melon is ugly, i dont like the way the tabbing works (it goes to the new tab, firefox just opens it) and for me, it's the same speed as FF, ok maybe a bit quicker. i have an older version so it may have changed, if i used it more i'd probably like it more though. im going to try it out for the next few days. what do you do to memory cache and disk cache, is it OK to set them to 0 ? i think ive talked myself into using it :D

It's still a beta and quirky at times. You can also download more skins.
There are plenty of config options.

I set my cache to 0 and leave the memory at default.

Firefox is more complete right now.

Wow, is this the competition of the internet browsers? :D
This K-Meleon browser seems like it's trying to compete with firefox.

K-Meleon with the Boxed_Classic skin. The toobar is locked. You can drag the toolbars and arrange them in the order you like and then lock them in position.
