    Many thanks for the flower with that beautiful frame. :cool:

    Mrs. Eldar is already gone to bed, so she'll see it tomorrow. ;)

    Here's already something to start with in PSP, like we discussed before and which I promised too.

    Hope you'll find it helpfull enough. ;)

    Have fun with it. :)
    Sure, take your time and follow the steps. Experiment with several effects, filters, colors, gradients and so on ...
    In two words: Be creative. :D
    My pleasure Cindy.
    Just give me a call when you're ready to move on. :D

    I've experimented also with your picture, but applied filters, effects and others. ;)

    Thanks Cindy. ;)
    It's a radial zoom blur, found under Adjust > Blur.
    Sure it can make you really very dizzy, but it also gives a nice touch. :D
    The borders were done following the lesson I posted, although I used a tube for it and applied a buttonized effect.
    On the picture itself I applied this blur and also a plugin.
    This plugin (free) is not by default present in PSP, so you've to install these. :)

    All the rest is already present. :cool:

    I did try changing the name. http://img116.exs.cx/img116/934/z0tdntknw.gif
    I tried changing it to "lluks" (backwards)
    Still wouldn't work.

    Oh well~no biggy Maybe theres a memory of what you post even after you delete~~kind of a 1 shot deal.

    I really like that animated one Brad. Cool blinking eyes ~ and his name on it.

    [IMG]

    I'm not quite ready for that lesson.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Still trying to figure out the ants inside the the picture thing Eldar.
    Can't get them to appear inside the frames.
    I'll let ya know when I get too frustrated with it.
    Thanks Nat for the compliment.
    Me neither, he'll have to teach me that. :rolleyes: :D
    Did you have the ants marching around the borders?
    If so, go to Selections > Invert. The ants will now be marching around your picture, instead of the borders. :)
    Our pleasure helping you & others. ;)
    ps: P will answer your message in Dutch tomorrow. Too busy with the children.
    Re: Just Play'in
    I understood the ants marching around the inside and the outside of the border at the same time.
    Not quite sure what to do after that.
    This is where I'm stuck....
    I've been trying different things all weekend.
    I'm not sure how you got the blury effect in the frame.....and basically all the effects in the picture.
    I'm sorry, I really wish I was getting this faster.
    Here's a pic just to show, I'm try'in
    Ya know what my biggest problem is?
    I create something....then I can't remember how I did it
    I totally understand,
    Petra,
    U schrijft me wanneer u een kans krijgt. Momming komt eerst. Geen probleem bij allen.
    De hoop alles is goed en gelukkig in België!!
    Re: Just Play'in
    Hey Cindy,
    Anything with the 'ants' around it is 'selected'. All you need to do then is go to effects and apply a filter/effect/plugin etc and it will apply only to the part 'selected'. Blur is under 'adjust'....not 'effects'.
    Re: Just Play'in
    OK Guys, I REALLY want to tell ya that I've got everything figured out and I'm do'in great.
    But.........
    I'm in a bit of a rut. And start'in to hit that very frustrated point. Something your trying to tell me is just not sinking in. I'm thinking, I'm probably 'over-clicking' on things, and some how things keep getting messed up. Eldar, I've read your lesson so many times. I've just about got it memorized.
    A couple of days ago, the first time I tried Eldar's lesson, I was able to get the ants marching inside and outside of a color border that I had added. Then, I was able to paint on the border~in between the rows of ants.
    Good! Right?
    Not quite sure how you got the multi-toned color effect....mine's just one flat color.
    OK...so, if I've added a color border to the pic, then there isn't the border around the pic to blur.
    (That's the effect I'm trying to figure out.)
    Like Brad did in his last post. I don't know how to get 2 rows of ants on the pic w/o having a color border there.
    Believe me..this is just as frustrating for me to try to understand..... as it probably is for for you guys to try to explain it to me from an ocean away.
    Maybe, I just need to play with it for awhile~~which I'm definitly doing a lot of,
    just can't remember stuff....to even try to create the same pic twice.
    Maybe that's the fun of it. Ya think http://img116.exs.cx/img116/934/z0tdntknw.gif
    Alrighty, that's what's going on here.
    Anyway, here's my latest try........as I've already said, I'm not sure how I did it. But, it looks kinda neat.
    Re: Just Play'in
    Good to hear Cindy. :)
    To apply the multi-toned color you need to change from tab. You can choose Color, Gradient or Pattern. If you don't see the Materials Palette, just press F6 to show it.
    When you apply the magic wand to the borders you can apply everything you like inside the region marked by the marching ants. If you go to Selections > Invert it will show the ants around the picture and NOT the borders.
    If you go now to Adjust > Blur > Gaussian Blur (or another), you can apply this blur to the image. :cool:
    We should perhaps setup a webcam, so we can show you it online. I know it's not easy to explain. Too many functions, too many of everything. :doubt:
    That's nicely done. :cool: Don't fret too much on how you did it. It will come. For now just play and experiment. ;)
    Hi All, ;)
    As we don't want to have this thread deleted when the Test Forum Clean Up is done. I've taken the liberty to split the off-topic posts, into separate threads in the test forum, and relocate BB's thread to 10F (I chose 10F because the other appropriate forum is Software & Services, which presently has PSP/Photo Fibre thread running.) Even thought 10 Forward threads tend to go a little off-topic, could we please all try to keep it to a minimum in this thread, as it is a constructive learning thread.
    On a personal note: Great Work BB, you're learning a lot. Keep it up, and continue to have fun while learning. You have some great teachers here; My hats off to them too.
    Warm Regards;
    Steve
    Ps. The split posts mentioned above are still in the Test Forum and are located at the following links:
    Re: Just Play'in
    OK...... I'm not using the magic wand.
    1. Go to the rectangle select tool.
    2. Select a rectangle which will be the inside of your frame.
    3. Go selections....then invert. You should now have the frame area highlighted.
    4. Now you can apply effects.....or go adjust...blur.
    5. This will only happen between the two dotted lines.
    6 Check my screenie below
    Cheers.
    OK Eldar, when you finish your beer, of course.........
    and while I'm on a VERY happy high right now
    I followed all of your steps to create the multi toned border.
    But, when I click OK (#3).........it doesn't add it to the picture.
    I've even created a 'swatch' for the color/pattern that I wanted.
    What am I missing o_O
