FDISR has no serial number, you can download it while you are buying it and that's the one you need.
If you have troubles with it contact the support.
Yes you need to uninstall the trial.

I don't think you have to uninstall completely, keep the snapshots during uninstalling the trial version and install the one you bought.

Then you are more lucky than me, I paid the full price, but it saved me so many times, that I got my money back by saving time when I was in trouble.

I am assuming you bought from Raxco. If so you will slowly discover they are a class act.

I installed Perfect Disk 8 and began reading about FD on Raxco's site. Now I'm reading all the glowing posts. The price is a little steep, but I'm interested. Can you guys advise me as to how easy for an intermediate computer user this app is? I don't want to get into a big learning curve. :)

    Hi twl845

It is easy. The key is read the manual, and then take it slow. Install it and start off just building one snapshot. Also feel free to jump in here and ask questions. It is a piece of cake once you wrap your mind around it. There is a good support group here. Just be prepared to be told first to read the manual.:D That is a stock answer and good advice.

Peter2150, OK thanks for the info. I hope the manual isn't too involved or long, I fall asleep easily at my age.:D

    Another one like me ;)
If I can do it: it's easy by definition.
    You'll be surprised.

Hi! I read of a possible feature to come ' booting from other partition" or something like that( not sure). What is this feature?

Second Q, if you buy from Roxaco, can u use leapfrog version( that may be more latest than Roxaco)? Is it possible and is legit?

    Thanks

Possible, yes, legit, probably. But if you run into a problem you will get no support. That is the downside.

Learning the basics is very easy. The difficult part I found was knowing exactly where to stop finding new things to do with it. It really has no limit, but as to its primary role of saving your system.....its very easy.

Once FDISR is installed with a primary snapshot (created by FDISR) and secondary snapshot (created by you), you have already an Immediate System Recovery. The rest is explained in the manual.

FDISR keeps you out of trouble inside/outside Windows and that will save you alot of time in the future. Wait until you have a BSOD on your screen and don't know what to do with it. FDISR will save you immediately.

As I know Roxaco will give u just a download, no key. So how u can activate the trial download from leapfrog in this scenario?
