    Hi all,
Been running 3.32.235 with no problems until the last few days.
Every copy I tried to make had errors in it.
Shut down everything and tried again with no luck.
I uninstalled the program and tried to reinstall but will not let me now.
This is the message that appears:

There was an error evaluating your system for compatibility with First Defense-ISR.
    ISR check returned-18

Any idea what this means and what maybe interfering?

    Running XP sp2
    CIS, GesWall and SpywareBlaster.

    Thanks for any suggestions.
    Dan

I would suspect either CIS or Geswall

    Thanks Peter for the suggestion.
I have this Sun. off and I will try uninstalling both CIS and GesWall and see what happens.
If one of these is causing the problem then out they go.
    I will not give up FD-ISR! :)

That seems to be a common theme among us FANatics.

I purchased a new pc in February and I deliberately requested WindowsXP 32-bit because I knew that FirstDefense was rock solid on it. Now that I've got the power and RAM I might update to Windows7 when it is released to the public but only if it can be made to work reliably with FirstDefense. I love to test software and I have never found anything better than FD, able to reboot all I want for software that requires it, than restore an archive to get my system "back to normal". Nothing beats FD original-classic for flexibility.

It is out to public as an RC, and I can get FD-ISR installed, but can't boot back into Win 7 after switching to an XP snapshot... If you feel like playing with it, I'd love to know of any success beyond mine.

crofttk, I meant when Win7 is finally released for sale. No, I'm not brave enough to play with it until you fellows have gone thru the blood, sweat, and tears. :D

Got home earlier then I thought today and could not wait till Sun.
I first uninstalled GesWall and cleaned the registry.
Doing this had no effect and still could not install FD-ISR.
Did the same with CIS with no effect.
Cleaned the registry again using JV16 and cleaned up the system a little.
This time with success though I cannot pinpoint the exact problem.
Installed with no problem and copied to the 2nd snapshot without errors.

All is good now and I'll be able to get some sleep!! :D

I know it's been said many times before but thanks again to Todd and his staff for such an outstanding program. :thumb:
