My computer slows down whenever I'm using it and it automatically does a startup scan which is check marked to do so in the SCHEDULER part of the program after ESET downloads the latest definitions. I'm using an old P3 computer...

I was wondering if there was any major security risk in disabling this startup scan after updates? It's already set to do so whenever I turn my pc on by default. Shouldn't that be enough?

    Thanks

Startup scans are important, it's another layer of protection. They are run with as low priority as possible.
