is it normal that my w7 64bit connects to these site?

the same error with _blog.mecworks.com and _www.colasoft.com and _www.msftncsi.com

and i have w7 firewall and eset smart security 64 bit v6

I think it is normal unless you or something you installed on your system is not trying to contact those websites. There is an article here regarding msftncsi. I turned it off using the registry edit mentioned towards the end of the webpage.

I get messages like those for various websites. Not many, but a few a day. Especially if I'm purposefully blocking the application making the attempts with my firewall. I have the DNS Client service disabled and run my own DNS proxy. I thought that was why I was seeing those events, but because you are too I am thinking it is normal Windows 7 behavior.
