    The AV software operates on layer 7 of the OSI model by intercepting inbound HTTP traffic for interrogation along with GET requests for updates. IPv4 and v6 are layer 3 of the model and as such the AV software does not care which is used because it is abstracted.

    SmackyTheFrog. You are correct that the AV software operates over layer 7, https. But as far as NOD32 supporting IPv6, well it does not. Simply put, with out giving away any free consulting to NOD that apparently they don't need;

    1. The end station needs to be win 7 or vista, winxp does not fully support IPv6
    2. NOD provides no method to connect via IPv6 address to the management station
    3. Management station shows IPv4 address not IPv6 address
    4. Then there is all of the other problems with firewall, antispan and antispanware via IPv6.

    In summary, you guys need help. with IPv6, just the all of the other 'security suite' companies. But good luck!
