Internet Explorer keeps automatically opening up ad windows... please help!

    I just hear a "click" every 1 or 2 minutes minutes in the background, and then I check my Processes list and there's IEXPLORE.exe. I close it, and it happens, over and over every couple of minutes. Sometimes when I leave my computer idle for 5-10 minutes, I come back to at least 5 active pop up windows (not hidden)

    The catch is, I don't even USE internet explorer to do my browsing, but instead use Firefox.

    I've run an antivirus program.
    I've run AdAware.
    I've run Spybot:S&D.
    I've run CWShredder.
    I've posted my HijackThis list on another forum and some people there helped me out by telling me what to remove, but the problem simply came back a couple of minutes later.
