Install 3567 failure -- asks for two old serial numbers

    This is updated info since a post earlier today on this topic.

    I tried to manually uninstalled my prior 9.2302 version of True Image according to a lengthy old post I found for uninstalling vers..8.

    After these above steps,

    2302 seems to still be in the ADD/Remove programs list, but

    installation of 3567 proceeded further than before, but

    a new problem arose which is that it asked for my serial number,
    for which I pasted in the vers. 9 serial number from my Acronis
    Webpage support acct.

    next, the next screen asked me to put in the serial number of
    my old true image because I would be upgrading.

    But I'm not sure which serial numbers it is seeking. I tried
    putting the same serial number in for each of both SN requests.
    That didn't work.

    I tried putting in SN for vers. 8 from my Web acct, and also
    the vers. 9 SN from web account into second request. That didn't work either.

    So...I don't know what to do. Why does the 3567 installation
    ask for two serial numbers? Which ones does it want?

    It seems odd to me that when ADD/Remove programs shows only
    one single TI installed (2302), it seeks TWO serial numbers.

    Any suggestion would be much appreciated.

    Strange one this, I can't offer any advice as 3567 installed without asking for licence details over 2337.

    I wonder if your problem is because of the change in installer after one of the early versions, where one had to uninstall previous versions before installing the version (whose number I forget, though it has been mentioned many times here). I recall that this did ask for a licence # - I believe many people had the problem at the time and Acronis did have an answer.

    Have you tried searching fo 'licence # on upgrade problems' or similar - it would be about November/December 05 ?

    Please be aware that in case you own Acronis True Image 9.0 Upgrade and Acronis True Image 8.0 full version then you will need to use the serial numbers during the installation process in following sequence:
    1) the serial number of your Acronis True Image 9.0 Upgrade;
    2) the serial number of your Acronis True Image 8.0 (it may be another previous version) full version.

    If this information does not help you in resolving the issue then please make a screen shots of your step-by-step asctions during the installation procedure and submit a request for technical support. Attach all the collected filesto your request along with the step-by-step description of the actions taken before the problem appears and the link to this thread. This information would let us check the correctness of your actions and provide you with a possible solution.
