My computer is a Dell Dimension 8400 running TI 8.0 build 796 on WinXP Pro with SP2.

The user guide says that an image can be protected by a password, but I do not get that option when I'm going through the "Create Image Wizard". After I indicate which compression level I want to use it goes directly to the comments dialog.

This is for home use only so it's not that important to me, but I am curious as to why it doesn't give me the option.

    Hello Tom,

The password dialogue is revealed when you elect to create a full backup image or an incremental image when there is no associated full image present (in which case TI will effectively create a full image anyway). Once a password has been assigned to a full image, associated incrementals will be protected by the same password.

    Regards
