icon of eset smart security

    hi i have problems the icon of eset smart security dont appear with ( time) after restart the computer .working without show icon plz i want sotution of this problem

    I guess you have Vista? If so - it's a Vista bug...

    no with xp service pack 2

    Got the bug in Vista, win 7 works fine. D'know... The icon is the egui.exe process. Go to task manager - processes - kill egui.exe and restart ESET from the Start - Programs menu

    I think that this happened to me too just a few days ago. Restarting fixed the problem.

    However, I'm having other issues with the GUI. License expiry date keeps disappearing on both Vista (EAV 3.0.669.0) and XP (EAV 3.0.684.0) machines! Anyone know anything about this?

    Dissapears on Win 7 too. Sorry guys... I'm having the russian package of ESET... I'll try to guess how it is called

    Help - Check license validity (It's the second last menu of Help, or smth like that). :D

    It is reasonably normal, the expiry date checking is a seperate information only function so it doesn't make any difference to your protection, your ability to update, or the expiration of your licence.
