    Hi, I like following:

Scanning speed and lightness of Antivir
    Heuristics of NOD 32
    Behaves of BitDefender
Detection, Ichecker & Iswift, Update speed and PDMs of Kaspersky

I can download trial versions of all. I just need a software that will pick up these seletive features from them and combine in one custom made AV package.
From where I can get this type of software? Must be free? Thanks.

More than that if u add GW and SSM.
But that would be an ideal AV for me.

That AV does not exists ;)
The new Trustport uses 4 engines : Norman, BitDefender, Ewido and AVG.
F-Secure uses KAV (extended database') with F-Prot´s macro and script scanner, the Norman Sandbox and a behaviour blocker of its own.

    Have you considered Prevx?

the thing is both antivir and kav have near 100percent detection without any other engine needed.
if you look at av comparitves you will notice the two engine german antivirus kit uses two engines but only gets a slightly high 99. something for the extra bloat which isnt needed on desktop computers.

    Dream Security Suite

    Above mentioned custom-made AV
Custom made firewall( leak test protection like Comodo, no popups like Windows firewall, inbound protection like a router and light-weight like LnS)
    Incorporated HIPS module from SSM
    Incorporated Sandbox like DefenceWall
Track n Reverse incorporation from OA
Memory scanner of BOClean as AS componant
    Antispam, privacy protection-- no idea!

All this and it should still be light. What u think? I can,t guess a name for this

I miss virus scans on linux.
The first thing I installed on Ubuntu was Avast and then scanned some viruses by it. lol

Antivir classic doesn't cover any spyware, so you should look into getting an anti-spyware program if you want.

I have found it to catch almost all of spywares I have collected so far( not too many though). I don,t know why they say that spyware samples are not included in PE classic definitions.

I think it's about the definition of "spyware". I bet it catches trojans and such.

Well use Nod32 or Antivir, they both have better heuristic than BitDefender and close detection rate as Kav.
NOD32 have a feature to block sites with bad content, for example if web IP address 123.456.78 contain virus1.exe virus2.exe and virus3.exe and if AV vendors detect just first 2 there is a great chanse that NOD32 will not let you access that site no more in order to protect you.

So with other software you can still get infected with virus3.exe while NOD32 will block access to that web site so no matter how many viruses is there your PC will not be able to access that site....

NOD 32 has an edge with heuristics.
I am waiting to see heuristics of KAV.

Perhaps the Premiun version of Antivir detects more low/medium risk adware stuff. Antivir PE Classic catches a lot of spyware labeling them trojans.

Why use CyberHawk and SSM. SSM overlaps with CyberHawk on data/dll injection etc.?
