Current setup is 1 ied drive partitioned into c and d drives. Want to transfer the contents of this drive to 2 sata drives located on the motherboard's controller sil 3112a chipset.

Do I just setup the raid 1 sata drives and then use TI9 to clone the IDE drive to the new sata drives. If not what is the right proceedure to follow.

    Hello,

    a possible way is:

    - install the drivers for the SATA-Controller with a blank drive attached to it so that Windows "learns" the new Controller-Hardware and could use it.
    - Clone the content of the IDE-Drive to the SATA-Drive
    - Disconnect the IDE-Drive and boot the system from SATA (no Stop 0x7b inaccessible boot device should happen)
    - shut down the system and connect the second SATA-Drive
    - boot and set up the drive 1 through SATA-Management software

    Hello deadi53,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

Besides of the VolkerNadolski's advice, I would also recommend you to take a look at this article describing the procedure of transferring the operating system from IDE to SATA hard drive in more detail.

    Thank you.
