Ok if I am only going to run KAV on Demand then what's the difference between KAV with Xbases and Escan AntiVirus Toolkit free solution (4.4.7 when it still was capable of cleaning).
Both use KAV and both use Xbases.

eScan Free uses the same _x update bases than KAV. The difference between detectings against my 3k+ samples was less than 3 detections, so that's close to zero. eScan was unable to scan samples bigger than 1-2 Megs, that's it.

    Best regards,

After lastest update both Kaspersky and eScan AntiVirus Toolkit have the equal virus signature number. But I've used to notice a slightly different results that eScan detects new malware less than the original Kaspersky.
