How do I stop the automatic action that happens when I am selecting
    an image to be explored?

Here is one of the scenerios on my Windows 98 Second Edition
    system running
Acronis True Image Corporate Workstation version 8.0 (build 941):
. I click on Explore Image (or Check Image)
. I expand the path tree to the directory containing the image file
. I either single click on the first file in the image or
type the image file name in the fill in box.

At this point the image seems to be looked at and a bunch of
files (my image was in a bunch of pieces).

I think that none of the files should be looked at until I
click on the next button (or perhaps hit enter)

In other words, if I have images A.tib and B.tib in the
same directory and type "A" when I meant to type "B",
the file A.tib is opened without giving me a chance to
    correct my typing error.

    Hello markbackup,

Thank you for choosing Acronis True Image (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/).

The issue you described is caused by the fact that Acronis True Image is obtaining the preliminary info of the image you choose. It allows you to find out whether you have chosen the image you really intended.

    Thank you.
