Yeah :D i wanna restore the googleupdate scheduled tasks to make it check for updates automatically to chrome. i had previously once installed chrome and had subsequently removed it owing to some issues, and also removed those scheduled tasks which googleupdate.exe creates.

All i can find online is to remove the tasks and process... which i did just so well that even reinstalling chrome doesn't create the update tasks. Since i have decided to use the browser i want it to auto update without user intervention..

Can someone please tell me how to do it?

    Thanks.

Not sure but in the past, re-installing Chrome did it for me. You may want to try uninstalling Chrome. Then after that, deleting your all of your Chrome profiles stuffs under appdata.

Reboot, and then try reinstalling Chrome to see if it adds everything (scheduled tasks included) back for you.

    Good luck.
