How cryptography is a key weapon in the fight against empire states.

Note: This message is not about politics - so, no political commenta please per site rules. It is about the use of technology - in this case, cryptography as a means in a different context than normally thought about - i.e. to maintain a level playing field IMHO, and deserves an open reading regarding the "great game" of open information pipelines.

Open-source cryptographic software (both defensive and offensive) that runs on generic hardware has certainly levelled the field. Smaller states are no longer stuck using last-generation (and often TLA backdoored) hardware.
