One of the requests to be added in to Hosts Block was the ability to scan for error's or check for errors and issues in the hosts file. Does anyone have an example on what this should be like to give me an idea on how to implement this into Hosts Block? thank you Brock

try running in a command prompt this command sfc /scannow this will check your system files and repair if need, is your windows 10 up to date? I'm running, pretty much the same thing you are and not seeing anything in my event viewer.
I installed the XNA framework for a game and Hosts Block started working again... how? why? Might want to mentions any redistributables people need to install for the program.
Hosts Block uses .NET 4.0, not sure why that worked maybe use .Net 4.0 ? who knows. glad its working though. thank you Brock

thanks Brocke i have added some blocks in the host , does hostblock take care about them ? i mean will it keep my blocks?
Yes just add them to the custom entries. Entries > Custom Entries. If you have the Active protection set to alert you will get a prompt when the hosts file is changed and when you allow the change it will auto add the new blocks. If it's at silent you will have to add in the blocks as said above. Default is set to silent. This can be changed in Options Thank you Brock
