    Hi Maysee56,

    Welcome to Wilders.

Download LSPfix as you will need it in a later step.

Before you start, please unzip or move HijackThis to a separate folder of its own. The program will make backups to the folder it's in. These easily get lost in a temporary folder or a folder with other programs.

Check the following items in HijackThis.
Close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:

O10 - Unknown file in Winsock LSP: c:\windows\system32\inetadpt.dll
O10 - Unknown file in Winsock LSP: c:\windows\system32\inetadpt.dll
O10 - Unknown file in Winsock LSP: c:\windows\system32\inetadpt.dll
O10 - Unknown file in Winsock LSP: c:\windows\system32\inetadpt.dll

Run LSPfix. Ceck "I know what I am doing" and move all instances of "inetadpt.dll" to the remove pane and ONLY "inetadpt.dll", then click Finish.

There also may be hidden files. See HERE for how to show hidden files.

Then reboot into safe mode and delete:

    c:\windows\system32\inetadpt.dll

Reboot and then post a fresh HijackThis log.

    Regards,
    Kent

o_O I am still having some popup problems. I have a feeling that a virus is hiding in this computer, but no scans are picking it up. I have tried two online virus scans plus the one on the computer. Here is my log.

Problem - When go to weather.com, sometimes a blank browser with YF Direct as title pops up. Then www.freebingoroom.com, and c4col.com/tracking/popup.htm/?add_code=CD1267&ad_pool_id=4.

    Any ideas what maybe happening?

weather.com does have hard coded pop ups on the site and tries to pop up ads whenever you visit

the same with the free bingo one, my pop up stopper stopped them

    but is this
    O4 - Startup: Shortcut to Logon.lnk = C:\Logon.bat

something you have made yourself as it isn't a normal windows start up

if it isn't made by you please let us know and we will advise
