    Greetings,
I get a message that my IE homepage has changed from Browser Hijack Blaster. When I click on the "Yes - Undo Change" button, it then announces the search page has also changed. After clicking on that, a small window announces the old window has been restored, only to be immediately replaced with a new hijacked message sequence. I cannot click the "undo change" button often enough to make it go away - it keeps coming back. The only way is to close BHB.

Now, if I may offer other oddities I'm seeing. I use the SBC Yahoo browser instead of IE as the default browser. When I check the IE properties, General tab, the Home page box has <>. If I look at the SBC Yahoo browser properties, General tab, the Home Page box is greyed out but has a series of question marks and other symbols. Even though the SBC Home Page box contains garbage, it opens to the right page.

    I ran both Spybot-S&D and Ad-aware 6.

Any help you may offer is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

    David

    Hi wdavid,

Disable BrowserHijackBlaster and check the following items in HijackThis.
Close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:

    Hi Pieter,
Thanks for the help. As I have not been able to predict when it will happen, or to duplicate it at will, I'll have to run awhile to see if it takes.

Do you have any ideas of where I could go to help me find out what is running during my startup that makes my computer so slow to boot?

    Thanks again.
    David

    Hi wdavid,

We can trim down some startups and services in order to make your computer boot a bit faster.
But let's find out how it behaves now for a while, before we do.

    Regards,

    Pieter
