    Hello,
    Can anyone help.
    I have v6 build 350 and have created a image set of CD's.
    Strangely however, I cannot create a boot disk, when clearly the writer is working and has created a set of image disks.
    Am running XP Pro and get a message when I run media builder of error burning the bootable CD-R/CD-RW

    Hello Peter,

    The following have been known to interfere with TI's ability to write to CD:

    - Roxio DirectCD/Drag-to-Disk. Exit if running.
    - Windows Media Player. Exit if running.
    - Windows XP's built in drag-and-drop recording feature. Open "My Computer", right click on your CD/DVD burner, select "Properties" and then the "Recording" tab. Uncheck "Enable CD recording on this drive".

    If still unsuccessful then reboot into Windows "Safe" mode (press F8 during boot) and try creating the TI boot rescue CD from there.

    Regards

    Hello PeterB,

    Thank you for your interest in Acronis True Image (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/).

    Please, try to use the next tips to solve your problems:
    - Eject any disc from the burner prior to starting the application;
    - Proceed until the program asks for a disc and opens the tray;
    - Insert a disc and then click the "Proceed" button to close the tray automatically as well.

    If that doesn't help then we also recommend you to update third party CD writing software if any to the latest version available for free on its respective web site.

    Please also note that you should use a blank unformatted CD-R or CD-RW in order to create a bootable rescue disc.

    We also recommend you to purchase Acronis True Image 8.0 Upgrade (http://www2.acronis.com/homecomputing/sales/upgrade/).

    Thank you.

    Hello Davmail,

    You really are unlucky. Usually, if all else fails, booting into Windows "Safe" mode and creating a boot rescue CD from there proves to be successful.

    Suggest you now email support@acronis.com, advise them of your TI version/build number, provide proof of purchase (serial number) and what the problem is. Explain that you've tried all the workarounds and then ask if they can provide you with a download link for the appropriate ISO. Just burn the ISO file to CD as per one of the procedures obtained via the links at the end of the Acronis Support Sticky titled <Please Read Before You Post>.

    Regards
