Earlier in the week, I almost purchased the 11.6" X205TA-SATM0404G W8.1 notebook for $180 from Staples, as you could also get $50 off $200 if you subscribed to VISA Checkout by 7/24 but it got pulled. Their Class 10 32g Micro Cards (trying to reach $200) were quite expensive too. Well yesterday Best Buy offered it for $150 and I ordered one. It's just for travel but gets rave reviews from folks who realize that! Anyway, here is what I need to understand. Since the Intel Atom CPU is only 32g (Obviously left with much less than that after the preloaded system and software!), I included a Kingston Class 10 32g micro card ($16), which I presume will show in Computer as (D. So as an example, can I install CCleaner portable, or other applications available as portable, in D and run it to clean C? Must applications in D be of the portable nature to actually be of use for the notebook, that is, on the System, C? Will I be able to move the My Documents folder into D? Not that I would want to go to this extreme, but curiously, could I install Firefox on it? This I doubt, assuming the system is to intrinsic to browsers. On this PC I built with multiple drives, the only thing I use the other drives for is backup retention, so I have zero experience utilizing drives other than the System drive. Thank you!
It should still work. I have a partitioned HD, C & D, and I put all of my portables on that, they still work good. I have CCleaner, utorrent etc..
