Please Help! :'( I purchased, installed, and registered TSD 3 yesterday. It worked fine, when I went to run it today it locks up. It will not even load up. Has anybody had this problem? Can anybody tell me what I need to do to fix this? Thank you!

    Hi,

    A couple of important things..
Have you installed any new programs ?

And have you got Windows Updates :) automatic updates are most likely on ?

You can try reinstall it over itself this wont do any harm. Please let us know soon how it goes

..and do you have a virus scanner, which ? make sure its updated

Automatic updates being on would cause this? Yes, it is on. And my virus scanner in Norton. It could be a virus or a trojan that has locked the program up? I wondered if that could be the issue. Thank you, I will try these fixes!

Hi, did TDS run fine before, how long do you have it now?
Did you put in the keyfile properly, and did it run fine since?
Most people start TDS manually after the reboot / system startup, to give TDS all space it needs.
Could mean it does auto-update with that, (monday and friday) -- you could test if it happens on other days too to find out if it happens and in that case it is most certainly not the auto-update.
Have not heard about that yet.

More people have for instance Norton in their autostart with resident protection -- are you talking about the NAV or a complete Norton protection system?

PS: i suppose you did reboot your system after installing TDS, which is necessary or reloaded TDS after putting in your keyfile?

This 'lock up' process happened to me to. It was just a Norton internet security prog. that loaded at startup for me. Try disabling any other
Trojan, virus or security prog. you have running before loading TDS in.
Let TDS grab all the 'stuff' it needs, then load in anything you feel is
necessary on top. The usual symptom is launching the TDS console
and finding it freezes shortly there after. This is a bit of a pain, but
    not the prog. fault.

    :D
