Hi, I have just formatted and reinstalled windows and i need some help, when i checked my netstat today, i saw some weird entries. I have ESET smart security installed TCP 0.0.0.0:135 CPEbcc8100ab7b4-CMbcc8100ab7b1:0 LISTENING TCP 0.0.0.0:49152 CPEbcc8100ab7b4-CMbcc8100ab7b1:0 LISTENING TCP 0.0.0.0:49153 CPEbcc8100ab7b4-CMbcc8100ab7b1:0 LISTENING TCP 0.0.0.0:49154 CPEbcc8100ab7b4-CMbcc8100ab7b1:0 LISTENING TCP 0.0.0.0:49155 CPEbcc8100ab7b4-CMbcc8100ab7b1:0 LISTENING TCP 0.0.0.0:49156 CPEbcc8100ab7b4-CMbcc8100ab7b1:0 LISTENING what are these and why am i seeing them after installing eset smart security thanks
Hello, I am assuming "CPEbcc8100ab7b4-CMbcc8100ab7b1" is the random name assigned to your freshly installed copy ow Microsoft Windows 7, correct? Issuing a "netstat -ab" command should show you which programs are responsible for those loopback connections. Regards, Aryeh Goretsky
