    Hi there!

I'm using NOD32 on all computers in my workplace
(25 licenses in two pharmacies) and V4 Business Edition so far has worked very well.

Now I've tested the new Endpoint AV and ran into heavy performance
problems on those computers, which have the cash-register module
    of our POS-system installed.

The system takes much longer to react, especially when printing
prescription forms (several seconds until printing starts), which basically
makes the system unusable as a cash register, as everything takes much too long for fluid work.

V4 worked very well there, with no noticeable slowdowns.

I've tried some things in settings, including learning mode and completely
disabling the hips module, but that seems to have no influence on the slowdowns.

For the time I've reverted back to V4 on the cash-register clients.
What can I do to make it work with Endpoint AV?

    Yours

Does disabling Device control make a difference? (Setup -> Computer -> Device control -> untick "Integrate into system")

No that does not make a difference... I've tested some more and
narrowed it down to the Real-time file system protection.

If I untick "scan on file open", it works again with no noticeable slowdown.
Maybe the guard module "hangs" on some file opened, while the cash register module is operating? (btw this is repeatable, it always hangs for a few seconds before printing).

Does this make the computer much unsafer in respect to av-protection?

    @Marcos

Talking about disabling Device control (Setup -> Computer -> Device control -> untick "Integrate into system") I (and other Axence nVsion users) have a problem because unchecking above option does not unload DevmonMinifilter. DataGuard filter driver (AxenceFSDriver2) is a part of device control functionality of Axence nVision Agent and it worked well with version 4 of ESET products. Now the computer crashes or freezes.
Why DevmonMinifilter is not unloaded after unchecking this option?
