    It's more a matter of what will happen if they cooperate, with $, and access.

    BTW, I wonder who was involved in the making of the "special chip."

    just saw this thread and i called a friend at htc that i know in engineering and he said they this is in fact a reality and there have been talks actually for a while now and they are thinking this will be a reality sooner than you may think...that came directly from a engineer at htc...

    And those who have been paying attention in class know that nothing significant happens in signals without NSA directive, even if the program is implemented through the FCC and FEMA.
