    And it's working fine in Chrome, too. You were right - I made a mistake: I added a blank character accidentally between the asterisk and the dot. :oops:

    What would be the correspondants in chrome for cookies and addons?

    Google used to provided an extension called Download Assistant, which would let you use external download managers to manage Google Chrome downloads. They seem to have removed it from Chrome Web Store. I wonder why? o_O

    I found this one -https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/downloaders/lfjamigppmepikjlacjdpgjaiojdjhoj (Downloaders)

    I haven't tried it yet. Hope it works, because it was last updated ~ a year ago.

    What do you folks use to integrate Free Download Manager with Chrome/Chromium? The built-in option doesn't seem to work, at all. It does create the plugin dll file in the Plugins folder (Chromium profile), but won't work.

    HI

    Is available new extension to chrome: Netcraft Anti-Phishing

    So far, only on firefox, now on chrome;)

    Why use the Netcraft Anti-Phishing Extension?

    - Protect your savings from Phishing attacks.
    - See the hosting location and Risk Rating of every site you visit (as well as well other information).
    - Help defend the Internet community from fraudsters.

    Secure also before XSS atacks (according to manufacturer)

    Requirements: Google Chrome 22.0 or later on Windows, Mac or Linux

    Mask Me from Abine. Haven't tried it yet but looks interesting.

    We have a second Adblock Plus. A ripoff of the original's name only the B is capitalized.

    I don't think this extension has been mentioned for Chrome. I've seen it mentioned a couple times for Firefox before, though.

    CsFire -https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/csfire/kflgpkibamedbalplkfjeodpghfelmii/details

    It seems quite similar to RequestPolicy. Another one quite similar is KISS Privacy: -https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/kiss-privacy/lfopjlendebbnfddpgpoaahmpbgmffii

    DoNotTrackMe blocks a whole lot more, and also does not require any set up,( Although you can deactivate/Activate things if you want to. ) and i do not notice a degrading usability of Google Chrome. :)

    * Personally i prefer WOT over Webutation, i have hat bad experience with Webutation in the past. Does this mean WOT is perfect....no it is not, but i prefer it over Webutation. ( I guess it comes down to personal preference. )

    * When using Google Chrome there is no need for the Google Safe browsing extension, because like Firefox it uses it. ( Duhh :) )

    * Norton Safe Web is useful but personally i prefer to use Norton Connectsafe.

    https://dns.norton.com/dnsweb/homePage.do

    Also there are other websites that allow you to check websites...

    * Urlvoid: http://www.urlvoid.com/
    * Sucuri SiteCheck: http://sitecheck.sucuri.net/scanner/
    * Web Inspector ( Comodo ): http://siteinspector.comodo.com/
    * Virus Total: https://www.virustotal.com/nl/#url

    https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/notifier-for-twitter/ikknnkomiokeodcdkknnhgjmncfiefmn ....Brings new tweet notifications to Chrome - You'll never need a desktop client again!
    Notifier for Twitter is a fully-fledged Twitter client for your browser!

    It brings new tweet notifications to your desktop using Twitter's streaming API - meaning tweets, DMs and @replies all appear instantly - faster than most desktop clients!

    It also makes use of Chrome's Desktop Notifications feature to provide notifications on your desktop outside of the browser window - even if Twitter.com isn't open! (Growl support is also available on OS X).

    The extension features a full timeline view available at all times from the browser toolbar, allowing you to read and compose tweets and DMs, as well as retweet, favourite and reply to tweets.

  18. Secure downloader does not seem to work with my setup (but that could well be caused by the restrictions applied), http://www.secure-downloader.com/

    @M00nBL00D, playing with CSFIRE now and custom rules

    Does anybody know about an email notification extension (POP3)? I moved from gmail and outlook to non-us email providers (yandex and mail.ru), but I can not find anything.

    Thanks for the tip, I tried that, but I can not figure out, how to get it working, I can not enter pop3 server anywhere and I would prefer browser client rather than desktop.

    there's a mail.ru checker extension in the google apps store...have you tried it?

    Also, although not an extension, I think Trillian Messenger has a place for "pop3" besides the normal yahoo, gmail, etc. I'm not sure if it applies to your needs or not though.
