While I like the idea behind Iron the development is too slow. They can't keep up with the current Chrome releases witch is a pity. I would rather use a portable version of Chrome.

Chromium is always the latest build of Chrome. You can also use Chrome with the developer channel enabled. Its not updated as often as Chromium. Iron is the slowest to update of the three.

I also can't understand all these versions. Not a big deal though, I've used Chrome from the very beginning, it is fast, never crashed, and it has already notified me of some potentially dangerous sites. I have it now on 2 machines, Vista and XP and the speed is phenomenal.

Chromium is basically the development tree towards Chrome (for end-users). When you're not into testing using Chrome is recommended of course. Iron makes use of Chromium snapshots and integrates some own code. With Iron you don't have automatic updates, and security updates can last for weeks after they're patched for the end-users Chrome.

    Hmmm.... my thoughts:

1- Chromium is always latest build but u never know if it is stable build or not.
2- ?Chromium still has privacy concerns like Google Chrome.
    3- Google chrome- privacy issues
4- Iron free of privacy concerns, stable but development is slow.

    Am I right?

Yep, plus their first relase also used the new version of Webkit (while Chrome/Chromium was using an older version). So the guys do have smart software architects working for them.

    Pro's
    1. Their initial release wth the newest Webkit version was a quadruple plus for me :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:
    2. It is Chrome without privacy issues :thumb: :thumb:

    Con's
    3. It s a small software firm, who have developed this for reputation building/marketing reasons, they have updated along witrh all the major Chrome releases, so slow YES, but to slow NO
    :thumbd:

    Cheers
