In case you don't let things AutoUpdate, like me ;)

In which case there might be more def's available then there was for me.

Ghostery defs are updated quite regularly so a thread about it might be a bit pointless.

Has anyone noticed Ghostery being a bit sluggish on Firefox 4.1?

No Daveski17, I have not noticed a slowdown. Are you running it with all options checked. I do not use the cookie option (unnecessary if you already block third-party cookies), and I do not use the redirection and dynamically inserted elements options.

I don't use the cookie option either. I may uncheck the redirection & dynamically inserted elements though, to see if it improves performance. A few upgrades ago Ghostery had the same problem for me (on my Notebook). Although other people had reported it on the Ghostery forum. I haven't noticed the same problem on SeaMonkey (2.1 RC or stable).

Basically, what happens is that I open a page full of trackers (like Reuters for example) & when I return to the Firefox home page the Ghostery icon is still blue & reporting several trackers. It is only if I then open a similar tracker-free page that it finally reports zero trackers.

I'll see what happens if I uncheck some performance items.

EDIT: I tried unchecking & it still acts sluggishly. It works perfectly well in SeaMonkey 2.1 RC.

I just went to Reuters and back to my home page and could not reproduce your issue. Are you also blocking web bugs (scripts)?

I have the bug blocking checked, yes, if that's what you mean. Apparently I'm blocking 486. It still works perfectly well in SeaMonkey.
