    Greetings...........i have been running Sound Blaster Live 24bit..
    Lately the NPC voice in the game i play has been off center.....i have to move the cursor/game center marker (+) to the right or left of the NPC in order to hear them speak....when i first installed the card all was well...at a later date i turned off the onboard sound device and then the problem began, so i turned on the onboard sound and went back to running it with SB as it was when things were working fine, well...............this did not fix the problem.
    Any ideas anyone :)

    Have you run DirectX Diagnostics (DXDiag.exe)?

    If you can send the output of DXDiag to a text file (DXDiag.txt), and paste it in between some CODE tags, that would be great. Edit out an personal information. The DXDiag file will tell me what you have for hardware.

    To output the file, start up DXDiag and wait for the green meter to go away. The green meter is a progress bar of DXDiag's discovery process. Once it is gone, click on "Save All Information..." and save the text file. Edit out the personal stuff and post it.

    What is the game?

    Read my post above. I need that DXDiag file.

    I also need to know the game, because I may have it.

    Just to rule out some possible causes:
    • Balance/volume settings on your speakers;
    • Speaker wire problem (i.e. does the sound move when you exchange wires, changing them at both your PC and your speakers);
    • Windows' volume/balance settings.
