    Hello,

I repeat once again because it's a pity...

The ESET engineers should build an antispam which works with any mail software as Cactus Spam Filter.
This is evidence that an anti-spam software can operate independently of the mail software.
Have an anti-spam tools bar in the mail sofware? that is secondary.
Better to have a anti-spam which works without toolbar in all mail software than to have an antispam which works only with few mail softwares.

    Regards

This is technically impossible with IMAP. As for POP3, antispam filtering outside email client would cause higher delays in receiving email and email clients might time out if they don't wait long enough before an email is received.

SpamPal, SpamiHilator (and probably other) work with IMAP.

    I've never seen a delay.

    Hello,

ESET Smart Security Version 6 has been released in a few markets (Czech Republic, Russia and Slovak Republic) and will continue to be rolled out in other markets as well. These will be announced here in the forum as well as on ESET's web sites and through social media.

    Regards,

    Hello,

As soon as that information is available, it will be posted here in the forum and on ESET's other official sites. Right now, though, I don't have any information to share about when that will be.

    Regards,

    Aryeh Goretsky

I am hoping Eset will release a rescue disc which doesn't require waik and possibility supports wireless.

If username and password are required to download a premade iso could be made available on the eset website.

A Self Defense (like Kaspersky) or Product Tamper Protection (like Norton) which will block any dangerous/illegal attempt by other program/person to modify ESS.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

Self defense is performed by the HIPS functionality in the software.

Can anyone tell me what's the role of HIPS exactly in a simple manner?

    Hello Shantanu

Hips is another security tool which will alert you when security related modifications is done to your system/Pc . It has a set of predefined rules/policies that is used as a standard, and you can of course create your own set of rules. It is very much user dependent, (especially classical H.I.P.S. such as Eset's) and you have to be skilled enough to know the difference between good or bad processes to determine what to allow or block. It is a strong security tool in the right hands, and is often used to strengthen security suites self defense. See also Eset's own explanation: What is HIPS

    Thanks for your answer, Aryeh.

Another question : if an application or a person tries to modify ESS which is categorized as a dangerous action, will HIPS block this action automatically or will there be a notification window prompting the user to manually select available actions?

    Thank you again.

The scanning & downloading icons are same in present ESS 6 version (RC).

That's confusing. In the final build add two different symbol to distinguish like for scanning use an animated magnifying glass & when updating use an animated down arrow (downloading) sign.

It's a strong recommendation from my side

Ability to show which computers connected to the same wireless network along with the details.

    Thanks.

Turn off Windows Firewall and lock it so no applications can turn it on (specially Windows itself) during the use of ESS.
I had an experience when updating my Windows 7 to Service Pack 1 which was Windows silently turned on the Windows Firewall.

    Thanks.

    1. Include the CPU Usage of OS in the main GUI
    2. Show notification if there is a High CPU Usage, along with the application that causes it.

    Thanks a lot.

Smaller memory consumption (below 10 MB would be so great!).

    Thank you.

    Hello

An anti keylogger function which scramble keystrokes, and that support ssl scanning as well. An anti keylogger function will supplement eset signature database and add a solid layer to the tools, which is not dependent of signatures or advanced heuristics .An introduction of this feature will be a much more solid security enhancement instead of, let's say virtual keyboards, and after my opinion can fully live up to Eset's slogan " Smart Security"

    Regards, Janus
