funmood & sound

I received a virus in Mozilla Firefox. It was Funmood. I had to get a specialist service to remove it. They charged me £70!

Since then I have been unable to use my front speakers unless the EAX function was activated. I cannot tolerate any of these settings because they sound unnatural (especially speech). The rear speakers work normally but of course they reflect the EAX setting when it is on.

Before this virus the speakers worked normally in Windows 7 without the EAX setting. The speaker setting was 4.4.1 or quadrophonic. I have both front and rear sockets on the Sound Blaster card.

No other application is affected.

try to reinstall sound drivers also check for funmood leftovers if causing problem

funmood is PUP (Potentially Unwanted Program)

scan it with malwarebyte or hitmanpro it help
