I tried installing acronis on another computer at my office and got the same type of error message. When I bring my laptop home and backup over the LAN, it works fine.

I am running Filezilla ftp server on a Server 2003 r2 box
Ports are forwarded correctly (i think)
I am using a custom ftp port

I also get this error message when doing a regular data backup (word docs and such) Any ideas?

    mcnealp,

Have you configured your PC and FTP server settings as suggested in the UG?
Quote: "An FTP server must allow passive mode file transfers. Data recovery directly from an FTP server requires the archive to consist of files of no more than 2GB each. It is recommended that you change the source computer firewall settings to open Ports 20 and 21 for both TCP and UDP protocols and disable the Routing and Remote Access Windows service."
