    Hi Chaps and Chapettes,

NOD32 is throwing a red alert box in my face when trying to download Flashget
    - step-by-step instructions to reproduce the issue
    Go to : http://www.flashget.com/index_en.html
    Click the green download button.
You will be re-directed to : ~ Removed Malware Link, ESET will be advised ~
This will flash the red alert box.

    Similarly :
Click the download menu option at the top of the page.
Click any of the 3 download links.
    Result : red alert box.

What's up with the webpage ?

    Apologies.
I didn't think when posting those links here. Those were indeed flagged as malware.

    This is really weird.

Late yesterday evening, I read this thread about a similar problem : https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=302344

I did not give it much attention, because it seemed to be related to a spam email causing the problem.
But just for fun I attempted the download in some other browsers.

And these are my results :
The blocked download page I reported above, is blocked in FF5.0.
But the exact same download page is allowed in IE9 32-bit, and IE9 64-bit, and Chrome 12, and Opera 11.11, and Opera 11.50 (just upgraded this morning and then rechecked).
While I can see the red alert block in FF, all the other browsers allow me to download the Flashget download manager without a problem.

These results are the same with just one of these browsers running, or with all of them running at the same time.

Anyway, I've got what I want know.
Saved me a trip to the Internet Cafe, which I had planned today.

Let's not hope that the block in FF was correct, otherwise I'm in deep.

And thanks to citizen satasonic for raising the other topic.

I saw a couple of updates flash by, and it looks like someone (maybe at ESET) fixed the problem.
I can now also download Flashget with FF.

It's was a nice conversation, but it felt almost like talking to myself.

We do appreciate your posting the resolution to the question. Even if you were "talking to yourself", with 160+ views, I'm sure you helped many users. Thank you.
