firewall question

    Does my computer have to be turned on for the fire-wall to work?

    Common sense should have answered this question. If its a software firewall, your computer has to be on, and operating system fully loaded for it to work. If its a hardware firewall like a router there is no reason to turn these off, and they are always working.
