I was wondering if this addon can prevent drive by downloads from the web? I installed it and there is an option to prevent the user from downloading .exe and .bat.

 

i think its much safer using noscript which block script from running (including script that does nasty download )

 

Nice download blocker, which extensions should be blocked? Only exe?

We run Public Fox @ work. I don't believe you could consider it anything beyond a way to control user activated downloads. I'm not convinced it would stop drive by downloads at all, since many of them are JavaScript or flash based.
