I no longer use Sandboxie very often. Instead I use DefenseWall & Shadow Defender.

In any event, my IT does the serious testing here, not me. He says CC cleans all .sqlite files for FF very nicely. So does my 11-year-old granddaughter ...who often beats me at chess. One argues with her at his own peril. :argh:

You could try this extension (you'll need to bump its max version though):

    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/573

Also even with this extension, you'll have to edit each individual cookie afaik.

And it works well, but be aware that it can make an impact on speed. Both opening FF and surfing with it.

:D On the other hand the out-of-date plugin check is definitely very important given that many exploits come through them - see also http://adblockplus.org/blog/the-new-browser-security-landscape .

Another improvement not mentioned in the article (although actually already introduced in 3.5.7, I think) is the fact that finally, finally also limited users are informed about FF updates. But since this Computerworld guy is probably permanently logged on as admin or has disabled UAC like most people here, this new feature is irrelevant for him ...;)
