Hi I am new to the forum, just wondering what to do about this problem.

Everytime I boot up my computer and start Internet Explorer I keep geeting this message from NOD threat detection screen:

c00AA400.dat is infected with probably a variant of Win32/TrojanDownloader.Agent trojan

I am wondering how severe this problem is and can I delete the file without any future problems? Any one have any suggestions?

You can delete the file as NOD32 probably offers you .
Post information about the message that is displayed by NOD32 (a screenshot from your Logs ?)

    Hello,

Based on your description, it sounds like something is re-introducing the malware to your computer which is not (yet) detected by the software.

Please download a copy of ESET SysInspector, run it on your system and send the resulting log file via e-mail to support@eset.sk with a link to this message thread for further assistance from ESET's engineers.

    Regards,

    Aryeh Goretsky
