I hadn't checked this since I built this PC 14 months ago. It's using around 300,000K of memory. It really has zero impact on this machine but I was wondering when did Ff get "that" bad? I'm using 10 extensions. Could x64 have anything to do with it? Thank you!

I wouldn't care even if FF used 2GB of memory. I got 8GB and most of the time my computer never uses more than 3GBs or RAM. Heck, I encourage FF developers to utilize more of my damn RAM.

What really determines the impact on performance is the CPU and I/O.

How many tabs? What add-ons? 300 MB is not really a big deal. Everyone wants their new 64 bit machines to use RAM like it was Windows 95.

300 mb is not bad. Also custom builds tend to use much more ram than official Firefox. Cyberfox is 64 bit and it uses more ram.
