I am using ESET NOD32 Antivirus v.3.0.650.0 on WinXP Pro SP3 and recently have tried to install IObit Advance Windows Care v.3 Beta 2.8.2 & 2.8.5.

During the installation NOD32 detected the virus in Updater Module. And even after the AWC3 was installed it still detects the "update.exe" as potential virus.

Previously other antivirus programs also detected that module as a virus, but lately remove it from their virus lists as it is a false positive. Only NOD32 is still continue detecting this false positive, even so IObit had contacted ESET regarding the problem.

The full story is described at IObit forum: http://forums.iobit.com/showthread.php?t=1162

What can be done to solve the problem?

    Hello,
thank you for reporting it, it will be fixed in one of the upcoming updates. Should you come across a false positive in the future, feel free to email samples[at]eset.com with "False positive" in the subject, enclose other important information, such the url and the exact program version, and attach the file flagged by ESET in a password protected archive.
