F-Secure or Kaspersky

    Apart from detection capabilities you may find that the effect on system performance may also be important.

    Unless you have a very recent machine, IME, you may find F-Secure much more of a resource hit than KAV.

    Since they are both top-notch AV's, why don't you trial the two and see which one suits both you and your machine.

    I had to choose between the two a few months ago for my place of work and decided on Kaspersky. This was mainly due to F-secure's lack of quarantine which caused some problems. It would just rename virus files and leave them hanging around which tended to make it difficult to find and delete them.

    Both are excellent AV's though - I'd have no problem recommending either. I would suggest you download and try both before making your choice.
