That's much better, so your Windows must have been a little under the weather...

    Good to see.

    Cheers :D

With NOD, doing an in depth analysis (deep on demand scan) doesn't require shutting down what you are doing.

I just hit the in depth analysis, minimize the window and continue what I am doing, on line or off.

On demand speed is not as important to me as real time scanning.

XP home is so full of usless stuff I think that is one reason it scans slower with it. Now with xp pro I have noticed that everything runs faster.

HI Guys! Im newbie LOL...im really impressed with this av...its amazing how fast works and the few resources that uses...well...my question: is it worthy to configure it to scan all files?...i think it takes a lot more time...The smart scan only took 7 minutes (89.999 files i think) and the other -all files selected (140.000)- 18 minutes...but i think it makes no sense to scan some files that for sure cant be virus..though it might give you more secure feeling. TX Friends.

eighteen minutes out of your day to insure that your computer is clean sounds like a good trade off. I would definatly recommend that you scan all files. They didn't used to think that you could get infected by a jpeg file but that has all changed you really need to scan them all just to be sure imo.

HI, its mostly a personal prefrence as to what options you set.
I have the automated scanning [Imon,Amon,Dmon] set to full and dont notice any difference, although my PC is very fast.

I will only do a full manual [on demand] scan occasionally, while im not doing anything else.

If you wish to set it up BlackSpear has written a very good guide.

hi sweety! yes i have seen that very helpful ;). I think that i will check all my files...im a virus maniac! After having such heavy AV as Norton and Avast...NOd is lighty as a leap. Btw I hate Norton...at least Avast let you uninstall with no problem. Another very good AV i found is Bitdefender...it scan every single file (220.000 files while Nod 140.000)...but i stay with Nod im just in love...my computer never ever freezes now...IM so HAPPY!! :)
