Do I need to enable EXEC protection on TDS3 if I have it enabled on PG? Is there a difference in the protection?

On a side note: I noticed another thread regarding rootkits. Should I be concerned? Can anyone reccomend a good program to deal with this threat?

PG is great protection from rootkits. Also you can take a look at UnHackme http://www.greatis.com/unhackme/ for detection of some rootkits.

    Hope this helps,

Hi Kegal, TDA3's Execution protection hooks opening processes for defined Trojans whereas ProcessGuard protects running processe from change or modification and dangerous Trojans such as rootkits from being able to install etc. So no real overlap.
    I run them both.

Thanks. Just wanted to say it is EXACTLY because of this support that I purchased PG, TDS and Port Explorer. Much appreciated.

Its a great idea to use the free Unhackme to make sure you dont have a current-day rootkit. Then setup PG and forget about this huge "future" threat :)
