After the last update (today), each time I rum Scan memory, my PC reboots.
Any one has any idea why this is happening?

    Regards, Jeremy

    See my thread below.

So it seeems I am not the only one!

I've tried everything under the sun for the last couple of days to no avail. So I'm just going to sit it out from now on!

I don't have same problem but something similiar. When I manually update ewido, sometimes it tells me I have to reboot before I can update. No problem with automatic update.

This is normal as some updates require a reboot.

    Thanks,

    Chris

The PC reboots every time, I run Ewido memory Scan. Not just the first time when I had the new updates.

The other soft installed I have are Prevx, KAV, and Sygate.

Re: Ewido Reboots my PC..? Update

My PC reboots, when Ewido scans the KAV process.
Disabled KAV, and Ewido memory scan works fine.

    My question, is this normal?

With me it's KAV Personal Pro 5.0.14, no special settings.

When I tried disabling KAV I still got the reboot though! I'm not going to try again 'cos each of the reboots knocks out my Zone Alarm settings and I'm sooooo fed up resetting it constantly!

I'm using KAV personal Pro 4.5.104
As for the setting no special one.
From the default I changed the following(I think):
Scan of the following file types: From All infectable To All
    Enable code analyzer

TopperID, have you seen that the reboot is taking place when KAV process is scanned. Just pay attention to the bottom of the Ewido window, and see which process it doesn't like, and reboots. May be in your case it's not KAV, it's something else, ZA may be? just pay close attention to the Ewido bottom window.

I managed to reproduce the BSOD with KAV 4.5, KAV 5.0 is working here.
Let's see what we can find out ;)

Yes, as I said in my other thread , it definately reboots when scanning KAV; except when I disabled KAV, it then rebooted when Ewido was mentioned!

I never normally lose my ZAP settings when I reboot - that only happens when Ewido does the rebooting!

Needless to say , memory scans with Ewido were fine right up until that recent large download which changed Ewido (ProcessGuard jumped up and told me so!).

Correct. When you do a normal shutdown ZA saves its info when an unexpected shutdown occors it doesn't save it in my experience.

    Thanks,

    Chris
