ewido and advanced process termination

I downloaded the program from http://www.diamondcs.com.au/freeutilities/apt.php. Used it on ewido.exe and kill 1 method worked and killed off ewido. Is this potentially dangerous?

edit: i tested it on nod32 and it worked. The guard.exe didn't work though.

 

Killing the ewido main application (ewido.exe) is pretty simple, this can be done by the taskmanager, too. But it is not the resident shield, so if there is a threat found by the resident shield you will notified that ewido.exe is not running and the threat will be blocked.
