ESS4 and Sonicwall VPN 4.2.6 issues

I am running Vista 64bit ultimate SP1, loaded SonicWall VPN 4.2.6 and had it connect fine.... then loaded Eset Smart Security 4 and with learning mode turned on everything connected fine and all seemed ok. That is until I rebooted and no longer am able to connect to the VPN. If I uninstall everything, clean the registry and reinstall I can make the VPN connections just fine.... again until I reboot and then the VPN starts failing the phase 1 ISAKMP requests.

Has anyone else had this much difficulty with ESS4 and Sonic Wall VPN?

I have it running fine on XP pro but this Vista implementation has me stumped.

Any help much appreciated in advance.

Can you try using ESET NOD32 Antivirus and see if the issue is still there. This will help determine if it is specific to Smart Security.
